Sounds good doesn't it?

Now I don't like the idea of having bought a Gamecube with 3 games rather then an X-box with one :( I certainly would cough up 59.99 to have a year's worth of online access to play ALL of the Xbox online games. Plus you get the voice communicator. No need to purchase a BB adaptor and no need for the HDD.

And I almost feel like crying when I think that Halo 2 will be out not too long now and will be an online game. Someone just :gun2: me :(

Oh well, I guess this is only going to make me get an Xbox sooner then planned. :grin2:

i think xbox live is fantastic and will crap all over gc and ps2, but why dont they just make a piece of software that installs on the xbox that allows you to play any multiplayer game on the xbox as if it was connected to somebody else by the cable and use the internet instead. that would give the xbox a lot more multiplayer games to start.

Dan.. I think Halo2 will have both a Multi and Solo play...

Don't worry... even if you dont have access to internet for Xbox you can still play that crappy excuse for a Solo game missions because they were more focused on Multiplay :D :D

don't know about USA or Canada, but online console gaming won't take of here in the UK for at least a few more years..

We just don't have the infrastructure to cater for it....

BT take libs with access rates and bandwidth...no way console only owners are gonna pay bb rates for just games.,

yup...this is where xbox beats ps2...no need to PAY MORE for

a hard drive
a communicater
a network card

and there will only be ONE player for ever ps2 out there because in one controller slot goes the communicater and the other is for the controller...it wont work with a multitap...

the communicater goes in the memory card slot of teh xbox controller...

so to all those people who said xbox was underpowered and overpriced...i have nothing to do but laugh

yes xbox live will be better but ps2 online plan isnt bad either if you want to talk about a bad online plan talk about nintendos online plan what a joke. Oh yeah here is one thing right now that I can think of thats better than xbox live. Sonys online plan works with both bb and 56k so you will find lots more people to play. But right now both sony and microsofts plans look great whoever has the network adapter or is getting it I will be seeing you online hopefully soon.

ok so you think you can play 4 players online but if just one player is 56k you think theyre having fun...maybe more players but i havent seen any good 56k connections where i live

at least with xbox you pay less and play with the fast connections...so that you dont have to pay more to play with slowpokes who wont admit they lost cause of theyre ****ty connection

Pay less lol you might want to rephrase that. Yes some people might have a bad 56k connection but if they do it wont be that bad on some games but on socom yeah it will suck if there is someone with a 56k connection and its all laggy.

Ok you are not forced to buy the hard drive unless you want to play rpgs online but i dont play them much anyways so i doesnt matter to me and one player you are forgetting multitap I am not sure if you can use that online but if you can that would end up being more than 4 people plus with xbox live you have to pay for monthly fees plus like ps2 pay to play rpgs so there you go in price ps2 and xbox are kinda equal in price. Now if you want to bash on a consoles online plan bash nintendo online plan what a joke.

about the rpgs im showing facts no if its your opinion to play or not

and u cant use multitap...cause one slot is for teh controller and teh other is for a headset

so add fees for BOTH systems for rpgs...and the hard drive stays cause its an option that xbox comes stock with...so if i take out teh hdd i have to take out the same amount from the final xbox price

if i take out hdd on ps2 then it comes out on xbox...so its still more expensive...'

the only thing i could take out is rpg fees cause it probably costs the same for both systems (why would it be more expensive on ps2 than xbox?) and theyre both add-ons ...but even still it costs way more on ps2

gc was never a consideration in my mind lol dont worry...im not bashing ps2 but im saying XBOX LIVE is better than PS2 ONLINE

ok yea you may be right...but xbox does have better graphics but ps2 right now has the games...but i LOVE online play and when i heard about conoles going online i went to future shop (its an electronics store) and saw xbox had better graphics and a promising online plan...then i saw ps2 but it dosnt have as good graphics and didnt have a netowkr card...and i would have to pay more for for the extras you need for ps2...so i got xbox...loved halo...and its my system...just like you like ps2...its all about the preferences

im not to sure bro...its one of those solid games and when its on pc gets fragile and stuff...i cant explain it...i notice it when i play tony hawk 3 on pc...AND tony hwk 3 on ps2 got 10/10 and on pc it got less on graphics then on ps2...so HA...xbox has better graphics then ps2 so no...it wont be better

I agree with wwh that halo will be better on xbox than pc cause since its a port from xbox it wont look any better so you cant say the one on pc will have better graphics.

u can say it will have better graphics 4 the simple fact that upping the res wil make it look better and u can always tweak pc games

And about it being a port from a console what about gta3 thats a port from ps2 ,but if u set all the graphical optins to high draw distance to full and run 1024x768 it looks much better than the ps2 one
