Reactivating windows xp?

Hey everyone,

I was playing Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 Online when i tried tyo go to a
server the screen froze so i hit the power button on my pc and restart but
when it loaded back up it said " Do to hardware changes in your computer
you must reactivate windows xp within 3 days.

Can Any one tell me why this happened?

This typically happens when there has been a major change in the hardware configuration of your computer. So long as you have a legitimate copy of windows you can call and reactivate your copy. If you don't have a legitimate copy of windows, then I would say you are S.O.L. until you go buy a copy.

Changing the hardware too often, will obviously deactive Windows XP.

I'm sorry if said this but I think having this kind problem with hardware upgrades is not fair for the user. That is one reason because I hate Microsoft
