I finally recieved my slide tool this afternoon, and while I was following the installation instructions I hit a snag...
the first step is to remove a screw off the disk caddy, but my PS2 caddy seems to lack any screws, especially at the point shown in the diagram.
after that I can't seem to find any tabs to poke with a screwdriver, unless the whole bottem part of the cover is one long tab to push up..
as far as I can tell I have a V9 PS2, the model # is SCPH-50002
does anyone know what I'm supposed to do?
Thanks

I have SCPH-50004 (PAL) which is V9. I've been using the Swap Magic 3.0 discs and it works fine. There's only one different between the CD Tray of V1 - V8 and the CD Tray of V9... V9 doesn't have a screw ;)
Just remove the front with the PS2 logo on it. You DO NOT have to remove a screw or something. You don't have to be carefull too.. the clips will break anyway :P

The swap magic discs work on all models in Europe and the latest model/s do not have the screw. As long as you can remove the trim at the front of the eject tray, then you are able to use these discs. Some people are saying that they can't boot the cd swap magic, but you must realise that what you pay for the swap magic set ,you are saving a fortune by using backups as your original discs do not get scratched in storage. Also you are able to play other region games in colour and it gets rid of the lines you get when you use the ntsc or PAL versions.A lot of this is trial and error, but the swap magic discs are according to statistics, able to play 92 % of all games on the market. So please examine your blank media quality and burning software, and the cleanliness of your laser lens and discs before faulting the swap magic set.It plays on all consoles in Europe; v1 - v10.
