Xbox live subscription

I've been looking everywhere for howmuch an Xbox live subscription costs,
the xbox website doesnt have it, ive asked in Electronics Boutique,
the moron at the counter didnt even know what live was,
and the little FAQ booklets about live in the store dont have them.
does anyone know howmuch a subscription would cost? (aussie dollars)

i believe cost some where around $10 a month. Im not sure i thought it was more. But that's what a friend told me. I don't really know bc i got my first year free and im almost to my second year
