Im having a problem hooking my ps2 to a router. I can hook the ps2 by just unplugging the ethernet cable from my pc then plugging the other end to my ps2. My problem is how can I hook up my ps2 and pc to a router. I have the modem, cable/dsl 4-port router(made by linksys),and 2 ethernet cables.

Port 1 has uplink/normal and a tab beside it
Port 2-4 is empty
Port 5 has internet for it.

Can you please help me? Thank you for your time

you should be able to use a standard cat 5 (NOT crossover) and plug it into one of the normal ports on the router (lets say port 3). Don't plug it into the WAN or uplink port

Are you saying that I hook up the ethernet cable to both my ps2 and router; like port three. Do I need 3 ethernet cables to also hook up my PC?

Cable 1- to ps2 then router
Cable 2- to pc then router
Cable 3- from modem to router

Let me know thanks.

yes you have it set correctly

now just test it out with a ps2 online compatible game
