View Full Version : ASPI drivers
Hi i got a new comp recently with a MSI burner 40x12x40. I'm not sure what i'm talking about exactly but i think it has and IDE or SCSI interface. the only software compatiable with the burner is clonecd. All the rest say no cd recorder found. I downloaded the latest ASPI drivers and now it seems to work. But i get the blu screen of death and my comp restarts automatically. Has this got to do with the ASPI drivers and burner? Can someone tell me why my burner was only compatiable with only the one prog?
thanks

Which Operating System you have?
go to the manufacturer site and download the latest drivers for your burner.

That sounds very strange...
When do you get blue screen??
Only when writing to cd??
I doubt it's a scsi.
I don't believe only clone would detect it...Was the machine new or used??
first of all i'm using win 98 SE. The burner only was detected by clone on the IDE whatever. All the other progs: easy cd cdrwin etc said no recorder detected. I got some ASPI drivers and all of a sudden all the prog detected the burner as a recorder. I get the blue screen as i sign onto the net and it restarts the comp. I read something about this with ASpi drivers casuing the blue screen.
Oh yeah is it possible to make a vcd through avi format?
Thanks
