I Have two computers networked to gether, one running WinXP, the other Win2k. I have networked the two systems and can share files but i cant share the internet connection on my WinXP computer. I use Zone Alarm Pro 4 as my firewall and the ICS worked before installing it. Any ideas?

Make sure the sceond pc is on automaticaaly assign a i.p.Then get the i.p of the other machine and tell zone alarm to trust it.Aint sure how to do it in zone alarm ,but i had to do it in norton firewall ,had to set the i.p of the second machine to trusted and let it have accesss.

Open up zone alarmand go to the firewall section then click on the advanced tab at the bottom .
On win xp computer
in the internet conection sharing section tick this computer is a ics gateway & type 192.168.0.1 in the gateway address.
On win 2k computer
goto same spot and tick this computer is a client on an ics/nat gateway and fill in the address 192.168.0.1
when asked make sure you select trust network.
and also allow generic host process for win32 to accept conections from local network and to act as a server .tick the box to always rember this setting.
Good Luck
