hi, Andrew =)

also, i'd like to recomend NULL Webmail if you plan on running a webmail (or want to check/send email from a browser) http://freshmeat.net/projects/nullwebmail/?branch_id=14320&release_id=158889

Bbeen is an XP user, madcow...

I thought it'd be better for him to run something more graphical. My cousin ran qpopper and it was beautiful :D

Surprisingly, Vile, I haven't heard of both those servers you have mentioned. Strange, must you purchase them or are they simply open source packages?

SquirrelMail is one of the most common/popular web client online. NeoMail is also very popular and widely used.

And they are open source btw.

May as well stick with the grand daddy of all of them and use SendMail.

It's the oldest and probably the most worked upon version, yes, it's open source and if you need a gui you can easily use webmin to configure it. There is also many other GUI frontends you can use for it too.

A lot of mail may bounce though, due to virus attacks and spam mail a lot of Mail servers will not accept mail from unknown/unregistered MX servers. This is where DNS and such kicks in....

I can supply loads of docs and stuff on it if ya need it :)
