hey i'm fairly new to this althought i am using the programs suggested,
i've managed to install the evoX dashboard but flashFXP wont connect to it.
using the tutorials everything is done in windows xp, seein XP has that many problems i am back to running windows ME? doesthis change anything?

i can connect to the xbox using the AUTO IP address it gives that i get from the evoX boot cd i made, but no connetion to the static IP address?

also, how / where do i add xbox appz and emulators on the drives? i've installed the dashboard but i dont know where to add the programs, the menu just appears empty.

any help? thanx.

i really dont understand what the question is or what you are asking, but i read this pretty fast. If you have ME i would go back to XP. It's nothing with the xbox, but i really dont like ME and it has a lot of bugs in it. Just having ME could make more problems. And i had a friend with it and he hated ME.

the last one i think your asking is. Were do you put all the games and appz so i can go into the menu and pull them out and play them. There's many ways some people build in another drive. Such as a 200gb and download the games and ext into that. Or you can use the flashFXP (i believe this is what its used for) i really dont know much about this program. put i think it's suppose to act like another connection to your computer so you can the click on what games ext you want to pull to the xbox from your computer. Tell me if i havent answer a question or your still confused.

the connection let me get back to you on that one......have to go

Do you have a *static* IP set for the X-Box?
If possible, set one manually like 192.168.100.3 for your xbox, and specify that is the IP to connect to from your PC.

Which network settings are you using on your PC?

Also make sure there is no CD/DVD in the xbox drive when you connect to it. If you have a DVD game in the drive, you won't be able to connect.

As for the apps, I personally install the applications in F:\applications\

Windows ME has nothing to do with it, but ME is probably one of the worst operating systems. If you want Winodows 9x (like ME) you're better off with Win 98SE. I recommend 2000 Pro or XP though.
