softmod in a cd

has anyone compile all the files required to softmod an xbox instead of d/l the files seperately
is it possible to softmod an xbox by inserting a cd and installing it like a program, rather than using softmodding with a help from a pc

all i really want to use my xbox is to watch my divx files

Yes. Get Morden's v3 audio package, and install via the Mechassault gamesave hack. The package is compiled into the hacked save file. Boot MA, Run Linux, poof. MXM is running, just select Install Audio hack.

Or, get MKJONES' softmod-lite-v05. Instaals via MA also, but installs MXM, evox, and unleashX dashes (your choice).

All without a PC, once you get the hacked save on the memory card.
