HL cheats

How do you get half-life cheats to work. I would like a step by step cause i dont understand the instuctions given by the megagames cheats section.

1. Start HL in console mode
You can do this many ways. The way I do it is redirect the desktop shortcut from "C:\program files\halflife\hl.exe" (or whereever you have it installed) to "c:\program files\halflife\hl.exe" - console.
2. When in the game open the console
To open the console simply press "`" without the quotes.
3. Now you need to enable cheat mode
Type sv_cheats 1
4. Then enter your cheat
For instance, impulse 101, and have fun.

Remember to keep cheating to a minimum, and if I find you online cheating... well, I'll tell CL and he can threaten you ;) Hope that helped.

What is the half-life that come with steam, isnt it just half-life of is it half-life blue shift?
