Max Payne and Windows XP

i have been trying to play max payne 1 on my pc....

however, when i try and run a new game, it crashes immediately

someone told me that Max Payne will not run on Windows XP

is this true??

Runs fine for me. At least it did while I had it on my system.

What graphic card have you got?
I assume you have patched the game to version 1.05

i have a nVidia GeForce FX5600

not exactly old hat... well... i spose it is, in a sense, old but is is very powerful

Do you have the latest DirectX installed?

you can try unistall max payne , and on your video crad it shuld work perfectly (I have a GeForce 2 mx 400 64 mb , and it work perfectly)
also try to patch it.and I am also using the original disk,without
a no-cd crack. an mybe the problem is beacus your driver. try to dawnloed a driver for your fx 5600. (I also had this problam befor I have dawnloeded a naw driver). to do that just enter nvidia site and dawn loed the driver.it's very easy.
