DeusEx:Invisible War "DX2Main" error!!!

greetings

i downloaded the DX:IW version 1.2 patch and i noticed that after I installed it, there was a new file in the System foled called DX2Main

after installing the v1.2 crack that you (ie megagames) provided..... it didnt work

in fact, when i run the program, the menu screen runs fine, however, when i try and run a new game, or load a game, the whole application crashes to the desktop, displaying the message

X Failed to start DX2Main.exe!

Try a crack from www.gameburnworld.com (http://www.gameburnworld.com) or www.gamecopyworld.com (http://www.gamecopyworld.com) see if that helps. Also make sure that you are using correct language on the crack.

hmmm.... i got the same crack that i keep getting from other sites

im not sure what it is that is wrong, as every time i try to run a game, i get the error message saying that DX2Main.exe would not run

there are a few possibilities:

i may need a different cracked verion of Ion Launcher or DX2
i may need a cracked version of DX2Main
either way, i need help from some one who knows how to fix it, or has had the same problem

it may have something to do with the fact that i am using Windows XP, but that shouldnt really matter

I dont know if im confused but the latest crack i can find is to version 1.02 and the patch i have is 1.2. Where did you find the 1.2 crack?

The patch on Magagames is called 1.2 crack but if you check the nfo file you will notice that it's rely for version 1.02

Dude, you'll need alcholol 120% if you hope to back up deus ex: iw because you need to burn with the latest version of securerom, to find a guide relating to backing up and emulating with the latest version of securerom, visit www.makeabackup.com (http://www.makeabackup.com)

another point to note would be that i have heard of problems running deus ex 2 on systems with virtual drives existing on harddrives.

i think i hav found my problem, the v1.2 crack probably isnt for the UK version
