deus ex 2 v 1.1 patch

somebody plz help me, i asked on a number of forums with little response. i dunno if n e one has tried but a lot of people including me cant get the 1.1 patch for deus ex 2 to work, it just wont install saying some stupid error about the default.ini file, can someone plz help me out, im desperate.

Did you install the game from a copy or from an original? Did you use any cracks?

i installed it from an original but i did crack it, do u think that could be it?

i know what is wrong

before you install the patch, you MUST replace the DX2.ini file with the normal one which you find on Disc 2

the patch will not overwrite the Deviance crack that you used already :)

so simply, put in Disk 2, Explore it, and without going into any folders, you will see a file with the Invisible War icon on it, the file is called Ion Launcher

copy that file, and paste it in you system folder, and overwrite the file in there

i just remembered something

its pretty simple, though you might forget it

once you have installed the patch, you must over write the Io Launcher again with the DeViance file, just like you did when you first cracked the game

then, simply install the version 1.1 no-cd fix provided on this website :):)
