One day after v1.5 is released v1.6 comes out. (www.sacred-game.com) Ive tried DAEMON TOOLS bypass but it seems not to work with this new version, if anyone finds a way to bypass please post it....poop...farts

Yep, I noticed that as well. I kept trying to re-enable RPMS emulation during the cd-check and it kept disabling it each time. it also kept disabling Lock Dll as well.

Actualy, if you checked out the forums in the sacred site, people who have the retail disks, bought and paid for, are having problems getting past the CD checks of this games copy protection, and not too happy about it either. :greencry:

ok here's my share.

this will only work for those who made the 1.5 worked using the emulation method.

it's tedious but it's worth it if you can't wait for the nocd or for another workaround.

first patch to 1.6.

as you know the lame patch disables the emulation on dt so here's what you got to do. while the game is verifying the disc you need to reenable the emulation. but you need to watch it because the game will try and try to disable it so you must reenable it until the game loads. you must repeatedly enable the emulation on until the game loads or until you need to restart it again (due to verification error). once you get the hang of it, you can enjoy 1.6.

It does not work. I checked and I got "CD Verification error" and RPMS was on and I reenabled it all the time. This is a normal blacklist and will probably be solved in the next version of daemon-tools and a no-cd crack or Fixed exe should be released in a couple of weeks.

then you just have double click it and away you go. you may need to add more than 100 lines, it goes pretty quickly through them.

This method did not work for me. The script stopped running before the detection even begins. I even tried editing the DaemonScript file with notepad and added 100's of lines turning the RMPS emulation on, but the game still failed to load. With the script I made, the detection failed about a minute before the script finished. Does anyone have a DaemonScript that works? If so, can you post it?

i think if your using the deviance released image file it wont work. i'm having that problem too. i'm glad to know the batch file is working for others though. in about a week my game will be here so i wont have to worry about it anymore.

Did the 1.5 cracks even work for you? When I used them, my character would occassionally appear on an island when I went into or out of a cave.. and there was no way off the island! So my guess was that the game has a way of knowing that I used a crack and took me to that isolated island at the bottom of the map. Did anyone else have that problem?

I guess its back to using the original CD until a crack that really works is made. This game seems to be really hard to crack. heh

Ok, I was able to get Sacred v1.6 using batch file and Daemon-Tools 3.46. I'm using an cd burned in Alcohol using the ProtectCD 5 profile. This is a copy of the original game disc, so I don't know if this will work for those of you using other images. In any case, this is what I did:

1. In the directory where I have daemon-tools installed (C:\Program Files\D-Tools) I created a new text file which I renamed to "sacred.bat". This creates a batch file.

2. Then I right-clicked on the "sacred.bat" file and selected "Edit" from the menu.

3. I inserted the following lines:

daemon -rmps on
pause
daemon -rmps on
daemon -rmps on
daemon -rmps on
daemon -rmps on
daemon -rmps on
daemon -rmps on
daemon -rmps on

You will need to make a lot more "daemon -rmps on" lines than I have here, but for the sake of keeping this port short I didn't include them all. My batch file has 483 lines.

That's all thats needed to create the batch file. This is how I start the game.

1. Start daemon-tools regularly so you get the system tray icon.
2. Turn on RMPS emulation as normal in daemon-tools by right click on the tray icon.
3. Insert your Sacred backup cd.
4. Launch the batch file created above. It will say "Press any key to continue..." when you run it.
5. Move your mouse of the icon for Sacred.
6. Press enter in the batch file window to start the batch file running, AT THE SAME TIME start Sacred.

Thats all I do, works everytime.

Exactly ... buying the original will solve every problem with this game, so what if you have to use the original now and then ... big deal, well worth it considering the hassle you have to go through to get a no-cd working with this game.

1 thing that beats me is why deamon tools rpm whatever an all that faffing about has to be done??? All i did was install - download patch 1.5 install the 1.5 no-cd and it worked like any other no-cd fixer should? All im gonna do is use that untill a new no-cd fixer comes out for which ever version update at that time, if you think about it, if crackers released a crack for every single update, there only gonna change the protection so a new one is needed. Wait untill something completly major happens with an update before a no-cd gets released, after all from the sounds of it theres gonna be 1 or 2 released a week anyways which is why i wont buy the game at the price its at, have to deduct 2/3rds of that price before i even contemplate buying a fecked up and completly game stopping buggy game. My opinion not worth the £ it is at.

The 1.66, 1.66C and 1.6 appear to have the same executable (version number anyway). 1.66C fixes a copy protection issue (thats the only difference to 1.66) so even if it is different, a cracked 1.66 should work on computers where the normal 1.66 doesn't (as the copy protection is bypassed anyway)

is it possible to run some cdrom emulator as a system service like its done with for example Anti-Vir soft, and then in 2000/XP when you're logged on as regular user you're not allowed (by system) to change crtain options of such services, for exmaple you would not be able as a user to turn RMPS option off - well it's just an idea - i'm not a coder of any kind, so if you are tell me if i'm right

ok i was playing Sacred fine on the basic version.. 1.0.. without any patches.. etc... and for some odd reason i decide to patch it... i did the Update Software... and i got to version 1.6.1.26... and now i cant get anything to work.. none of those batches.. nor keep right clicking d-tools for RMPS... and i also had another problem... the patches i manually download (1.5,1.6,1.66) all give me an error saying:

"This Update is not compatible with your installed version"

so the manual patches dont work either...

im pretty certian its the Myth version of it.. it says Myth at the start up... help me

Myth version... that either means you are admitting to have downloaded the game or your using Myth's NOCD. Assuming you have legally purchased the game, depending on the language/region (US, UK, German, Australian) you would have to use a certain patch. Make sure your not using a NOCD when you attempt to apply the patch, as I'm not sure whether that interferes in its process to detect whether your patching the right version of the game or not.

Try the UK patch if you havn't already.
