Well I too have the german version and it works fine for me. Just overwrite the files in your game directory with the ones from the crack. You need to copy all files except the nfo file. You can backup the old files if you want to.
I could start the game with no probs.
BTW thanx for the Link vile I have been waiting for this a long time.

yes i tried it too but the german version 1.5 has a different version number than the english one and has different files that are not compatible to each other .it starts with this crack yes but if you try to start a new game it will crash at the first video and the voices doesnt work either,loading saved games works but it also crashes if you get to the next chapter and at many other things too.i think there is no other way than to wait for a german crack if there ever will be one

I found out, that it's also possible to get the german versi 1.5 with it running... I also try the 1.54b9 this evening (or 1.59) - don't know which, but I downloaded the latest german patch @ 12.00 GMT+1

*edit* @ted666 - maybe you've got one ore more defect saves? - i loaded a game between chapter 2 and 3 - the orc city... - spoke to the orc, became the horn, the video ran and the game continued - do you use any cheats or save game editors?

I've got no problems - or did you forget to delete the checksums of sacred.exe and granny.dll in the chkfiles.txt?

hast du überhaupt meinen beitrag richtig gelesen ?
ich sagte doch das es funtzt wenn man ein savegame lädt .die probleme tauchen erst später auf .und das es probleme gibt kannst du leicht sehen wenn du mal ein neues spiel gestartet hättest anstatt gleich ein savegame zu laden .am anfang bei der char auswahl fehlen gleich schon die stimmen und wenn du dann ins spiel kommst gleich beim ersten video bleibt das bild schwartz und das wars dann auch.ist nähmlich auch kein wunder weil die englische version von sacred sich stark von der deutschen unterscheidet deswegen kann man auch nich mit beiden versionen zusammen online spielen
ausserdem trägt der englische patch die versionsnummer 1.53 und der deutsche ist 1.55 und beide haben eine unterschiedlich liste von fixes,dürfte also klar sein das man wenn man diesen crack mit der deutschen version benutzt man mehr kaputt macht als der patch fixen soll.

Ich will ja nicht meckern, aber... dann musst Du Dir Dein game irgendwie kaputt gepatched haben - bei mir sind bei der charauswahl die stimmen immer noch vorhanden, die videos laufen auch alle und nebenbei - ich benutze momentan noch die offizielle 1.5.25 von sacred, da die beta patches eh alle noch macken haben - aber über die bugs von sacred kann man auch n komplettes forum mit etlichen 100.000 threads füllen... davon mal ab...

ich kann dir nur sagen - installier das game nochmal neu und versuchs nochmal - es gibt momentan 20 rechner hier bei mir im umkreis, wo das mit dem englischen 1.5 patch auch läuft - und bisher blieb das telefon noch still

aber lange rede, kurzer sinn - ich prüfe es heute noch mit der aktuellsten version und dann reden wir weiter...

vielleicht liegt es auch daran, das ich erst das offizielle 1.2er update und dann die 1.5er installiert habe...

oh and by the way someone at fileforums reportet that this crack triggers that copyprotection so dont wonder if you go trough a cave or portal and gett transported to a deserted island on the bottom of the map with no way to escape.

also - for all for who the link not works:

I've done the following and it works for me:

Installed sacred 1.0 (german),
applied patch 1.2 (german)
cracked with the souldrinkercrack of 1.2 german

then I found the crack for the 1.5 Version (english) on megagames.com
I changed the german cracked 1.2 exe against the german 1.2 original file,

applied the official 1.5 patch of sacred (1.525), german

Then you must erase in the chkfiles.txt the lines with the sacred.exe and the granny.dll (with the checksums;) )
Then just insert the files from the archive found on megagames.com

and if it not work try again... I don't know, if the 1.2 update in my version plays a role, but it works until now...

@upr2000: i tried everything you suggested i even reinstalled the game but i cant get it to work with the german version ,savegames work but if i start a new game i can shortly see my char and all and and then when the startingvideo should play the screen goes black and stays that way and i can here the music and the background noise. the only wayi can quit with alt+f4 .

Ich hatte was Ähnliches und zwar, wenn ich die Hauptquest machen wollte bzw gemacht habe und in einer / n Höhle / Dungeon gehen wollte war ich auch auf der Insel, da wo man die Sonnenbrille bekommt :dance: das Boot lässt es nicht zu das man zurück kann oder so, man muss immer bevor man ein Dungeon betritt saven und rein, wenn man auf der Insel ist laden und noch mal in den Dungeon gehen! dann kommt man wieder rein scheint wohl ein Fehler zu sein, weil der Nocd Crack halt für die englische Version ist! aber seid froh das es mit einer Deutschen nun endlich auch geht! das ist der einzigste Bug den der englische nocd Crack macht, mehr nicht! wenn das gefixt wäre / würde dann ist der Nocd NICE sein!!!

For some reason the new fix does not work for me. It will load up the game (some times) and start off fine (playes the intro with sound) but when it gets to the main screen, its all down hill from there. Immediately from the main screen, there is no sound. When i try to start a new game, it will (still not having sound) start loading, and when its done, the screen will come up for about a tenth of a second then go black. Im a bit irritated cuz i quit out of my game that i started with the CD a few days ago and just let my PC constantly run it to try and crack it. Any one have any suggestions? (american version)

so we have to wait for another one, probably not until the next patch

I read in fileforums that peeps who failed to put the .ims file into the sacred folder have the island problem. And works fine when corrected. Make sure all 4 files included in crack are put in. I would also make sure the .dll file from the first 1.2 crack was removed. These 2 files are the renamed original sacred.exe , if the first crack dll is left in it could conflict with versions?

:tredmil: of course the 1.6 patch is being released later today. News on official sacred site.

i seems that i discovered how to get this crack to work on german and maybe us version without crashes or ending on the island of doom :
i first patched to 1.5 then renamed the sacred exe to sacred.ims, then i deleted the sacred.exe and granny.dll entrys with the checksum from the chkfiles.txt and copied the sacred.exe and the granny.dll from the crack in and it seems to work now
i says now version 1.55 instead of 1.53 with the ims from the crack bevore on the bottom of the screen .i dont know what went wrong the first time but it seems to work ok this way now .i tried a few portals and subquests and they worked like they should !

Need the 1.6 patch now. Tried the patch out, using daemon tools, no longer works with this version. Ah well.....reinstalling now with 1.5, good thing I backed up my saves.

Question: how did you get it to work??? - I tried almost everything

correct me if I'm false:

Installing Sacred (with no patch)
Updating Sacred (with official patch 1.5 (alias 1.525))
renaming sacred.exe -> sacred.ims
then deleting the sacred.exe and granny.dll (in the chkfiles.txt)
and finally extracting sacred.exe and granny.dll from the imsdox crack 1.5??

on the sacred main menue - is the version number in the lower right corner 1.525?

what size had your german sacred patch - or did you use the english patch or even us???

@upr2000: yes i did it that way but i installed the patch 1.2 bevore 1.5 (by the way you cant use the english patches on the german version it want work) and then i had version 1.5.5 on the mainmenu bevore with the .ims from the crack it was 1.5.2 and i had that problems that i discribed above ,it seems to work fine now the videos play and the sound is there, i played for an hour did some subquests and tried some portals and never got beamed to the isle as it was bevore at nearly every portal or cave.

@darkraziel - maybe you are using a cracked sacred.exe? then you can't update anything... or got the false update? ger versi but us or eng update? - for a qualified answer we need more information

@tet666 - seems now (already playing 8 hours...) if the game works with your Idea with the ENG crack on german versi... had till now no hang ups, and still never seen the isle of death!

I think that the island of death only happened to the ones who didn't put ALL of the files from the crack into the folder. No renaming, just put the 4 files into the sacred folder, and remove the .dll from the first crack.

@imari:yep thats true for the uk version but for us or german version it only works if you have the exe renamed to sacred.ims because the ims in this crack is the uk exe.

Sorry, I didn't mean to forget that for the German version ONLY , the need to rename sacred.exe file. Many seam to be a bit confused about how to use the patch, and the different posts German/UK are confusing some.

So, for the UK version:

1. If you have previous crack installed: delete sacred.exe, rename fmod.dll to sacred.exe
2. install 1.5 patch
3. back up your original files chkfiles.txt, granny.dll, sacred.exe
4. move 4 files from 1.5 crack and replace originals.

Should play just dandy now.

i dont get this.
I have 2 machines, they are the same, the only thing there is diffrent is the Graphic card.
I have installed the game on both machines. With the same cd's, use the same crack for patch 1.5.

On the first machine I can play the game.

On the secound machine, I nealy all the time get to the Island of DOOM.
ANy idees why this is happining. And is there a way out of the Island?

Installed game (US version) updated to 1.5--installed crack (all files except the .nfo). When I start a new game and create my character all is well. As soon as the game world comes into view I see my character at the starting point and the screen fades to black. The sound is still on and the game is running (I can F9 out of it and it exits normally). My drivers are updated and it does the same thing on three separate pc's. The fact that it FADES out is very strange. Almost like they are teasing you. I find it odd that I havent heard this happening to anyone else? Any ideas??

Try scanning it with something else, both Kaspersky AV and Symantec Corporate (both with latest updates) find no viruses in the 1.5 cracks from gameburnworld or gamecopyworld.

If you still find the virus, try a full system scan, it could be an infection somewhere else in your system infecting the crack when you download it. (try clearing browser cache/temp folders too.)

Okay guys, I'm back again!

I played now (without my original CD's) almost 15 hours, defeated even the big Deamon (the first time) and I think, I can now say - it works for the german version - don't have an uk or us version - but I think when it's installed right it works for all versions!

Here another time for everybody how it works:

First download the patch (nocd)
go on www.megagames.com
click on "Game Fixes" -> "PC Games"
then click on "S"
there you already should see Sacred
Select "Game Fixes" (should be 4 files - maybe there are some more in a few weeks)

There finally download the "Sacred v1.5 ENG - ImsDOX - No CD" File

Then continue with the following:

- Install Sacred,
- update to version 1.2 (official patch)
- update to version 1.55 (official patch)
don't use the 1.6 official update - still in testing!!!
- then rename the patched sacred.exe to sacred.ims
- urgent !!!you must make a copy of chkfiles.txt, granny.dll and sacred.exe if you want to update it to a later time again!!!

- extract the sacred.exe and the granny.dll from the nocd patch to the sacred directory

- then take notepad (or another texteditor and open the chkfiles.txt)
- now completely delete the two lines with the cheksums of granny.dll and sacred.exe

- if you done right in the german version in the lower right corner sacred shows you version 1.55 - don't know which one is UK then...

- Play a lot sessions of sacred without be beamed to the isle of doom;)

so, if anybody have questions....

I have not seen anyone verify they can get this working for the US version who actually has the US version. Like Vysehrahd, I get the sound/voices, but still the black fade screen & yes I followed the directions above.

I also read elsewhere that replacing the US sacred exe with the UK sacred exe will allow gore to be enabled... so maybe the UK sacred exe will get the no cd to work too?

Thanks for the time you put in the post upr2000, but in vane. The American version has no 1.2 patch, and if it does i just spent too much time searching to no avail. I guess that I, and the other unfortunate people who have the US version must wait for someone to post complete instructions for this one.

Okay, I just downloaded this crack and moved the 4 files into my Sacred folder. The game now starts, and lets me pick a character however, once I click play the game starts and then fades to black and I cant do anything except close the game. Is there something I missed? Thanks!

I have finally got the black screen issue figured out for the US version with the help of upr2000.

If you follow the instructions given here it will work fine for the US version also:

- Install Sacred,
- update to version 1.5 (official patch)
- make a backup copy of chkfiles.txt, granny.dll and sacred.exe for future updates
- delete the two lines with the checksums of granny.dll and sacred.exe
- rename the patched sacred.exe to sacred.ims
- extract the sacred.exe and the granny.dll from the nocd patch to the sacred directory


After these steps the game works great. No issues at all!! :egypt1:

The bottle should be on the ground. If it is not, To get the water bottle hit your ~` key, the console will come up, type wasser then hit the ~` key again. The water should apear. This is a well known glitch and way to fix it. Just go to the official Sacred forums and search out game play problems.

Hey guys,

I really need an answer.

I installed the 1.5 patch. Then installed all the files from the no-cd fix.
It loads up fine, you get to watch the intro and pick your character. However, after seeing the character in the actual game for just a second the screen blacks out.

Whats going on?

This computer is less than a month old also so I'm pretty sure it is not the specs .
That and I have checked to the best of my ability and installed the new graphics drivers.

N E suggestions.....please help.

I have been doing a bit of research and now know why Sacred will fade to black after character selection.
The game is protected by a piece of security programming called VOB. VOB detects if the computer is running any ISO programmes and goes black if you are. This includes Alcohol 120, Nero Burning Rom and Daemons Tools. With every patch upgrade the list gets longer as to which programs and versions it will detect. For example, at the moment the latest version of Alcohol works fine for patch 1.5. But may not work with patch 1.66. The only way around this is to uninstall these programs and in some cases clean out your registry(I don't know how to do this, haven't had computer for long. However trying to learn fast.).

So yeah thats that

Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to get Sacred working for me and haven't played yet.

So I should ditch DaemonTools and get Alcohol, eh? I'll try that.

I uninstalled DT, installed Alcohol but for some reason It couldn't run emulations, so I uninstalled that..so now I have no CD Emulation tools and Sacred still still fades to black. Cleaned out the registry too.

hey guys i followed all the instructions to use this patch but my screen still goes black i did the instructions like 15 times and reinstalled my game so many time could someone help me with my problem thanks
