I got 512/256 adsl which is about 60kb/s download and 30kb/s upload

Now if im uploading and downloading at the same time my upload should be 30kb/s which it normally is and my dowload should be 30kb/s

But on dc if im downloading and getting 40kb/s and then some min comes and starts getting from me at 30kb/s mine drop to like 5kb/s when the minimum i should get is 30kbs and the rest should be split between the people downloading from me ,so if theres 3 people getting from me they should gte 10kb/s each and i should get 30kb/s

But on dc this dosent happen ,yet it gets split like that on kazza and ftp ,but dc it just kills the download

Any 1 know y and how to fix

I am lucky to get 5 kb/s and I have 1.5mb/s down and 128 kb/s up. I don't understand that at all. I keep hearing of ppl getting downloads up in the 100's kb/s from DC but I have never seen that...lol.

well m8, the problem ur havin is that ur usin programs that actually eats all the power of downloadin of ur connection (talkin about kazaa), so if u can avoid usin it, should b great, now, if ur usin a download manager (that can kill ur connection too) ur best choice its to make it work with the cooperative settings, that way u still can navigate faster n download at good average ratios (to do that, chek the help section of ur download manager) .

now, its possible to get higger down(up)loadin speeds with ur connection, but it deppends how far u r from ur provider... while closer, better down(up)loadin speeds.

sometimes i use a 256/128 ADSL connection, n sometimes (just sometimes) y got a constant ratios of 100kbps downloadin. but the average is 60kbps

Well bud, the only thing for u is Direct Connect Plus Plus or DC++

CLICK HERE TO GO TO DC++ (http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/)

its just like Direct Connect BUT you don't get any adds, and you can connect to more than one hub at a time, u should try it out!

Ok getting DC++ solved nothing for him. It's basically how the program works, most people who get those fast connections are running on extremely powerful servers that are really close to their location. I tried using DC but I just found it to be way fustrating unless you have some inside connections to good HUBs. I mean there's no way I can share 60gigs when I can't even get into anything to download.
