Help with Mod Chips

I have an Executer 2.3b Mod Chip. Which works great for playing backups etc. Though to play Xbox Live, I need to use the originals and turn off the Mod Chip. (Via my Switch Module) For some reason, since the modchip was installed the Modchip, ORIGINALS will now only play with the chip switched on! When it is switched off. I recieve the Message. "Service Required, Contact Customer Support" Anyone know what's wrong?

Do you have an aftermarket hard drive? If so then you need to "lock" the hard drive.
