I have installed a game called "Mortal Kombat Trilogy" in my computer. When I try to open the game, I get a message "works best in 15-16 pixel depth, if u continue performance will not be optimal"

The game starts off normally but when I try to choose a player I get the foll message:

Application Error: C:\mk_tril_mk_tril.exe

" A priviledged instruction was executed at address 004d5f0c

Click ok to terminate the applicaion"

then it closes. Why does thi happen? It worked fine in my old Win 95 comp(whose config was very basic, 32 ram, VGS card etc). I have tried compatabilty settings but none work. PLease help.

Some older games just don't run in the newer operating systems like 2000 or XP.

However, sometimes there is a fix that enables you to play it anyways, but I doubt you'll have one for this game.
Search the official game site

I think maybe because 2000 and XP only support 16 and 32-bit image bit depths and not lower.

If you use XP then try using the built-in compatibility function that comes with windows and and setting the game exe to windows 95 and see happens.
