Is it possible for the virus guard to get the virus it's picked up wrong?.As I got a virus on my pc and norton picked it up ,but couldent clear it ,according to nortan it was W32.HLLW.Gaobot.So I get the specific removel tool for it ,and it says that virus is not found on the pc ,then I ran live update and nortan could then quaratine and get rid of the virus. So it was definetly a virus ,but not the one nortan reckons it is ,why did it get it wrong?

I had a problem with a virus which was in the quaratine file from Ad-aware. Norton kept finding it but couldn't do anything with it. Could this have happened to you?

I think I explained wrong ,I see that after I re-read it.
Basically Nortan detected a virus that it said was W32.HLLW.Gaobot.gen but could not remove it.So I got the removly tool for it ,but that said it was not present on the system. So I ran live update on nortan and trid again ,and it found the same virus and deleted it this time.
So the virus is gone now ,but nortan was saying it was a W32.HLLW.Gaobot.gen virus ,when it was not or the removly tool would of found it.Why did nortan incorrectly identify what type of virus it was?
Here's some interesting stuff about it.

"Allows unauthorized remote access. Steals the CD keys of several popular computer games."
The programmer sounds like some punk who doesn't want to pay for games. lol
