View Full Version : deus ex invisible war graphics help?

ok here the deal im runing deus ex version 1.2 with the backup cd crack which i finally got working after all those insert cd and dxmain could not start business

My real issue is the graphics im running a ti4200 (as most of you have already posted;) with a 2.6 p4 and 512mgoram but when i run the game it runs really choppy and makes it almost impossible to play i have tried to lower the character detail res and bloom but it still seems to chop up a fair bit on 800x600 res low detail and no bloom if anyone else has encountered a problem or if anyone has fixed it i would love some help

Close all programs and update your graphic card drivers and DirectX.
Not sure if it will help but give it a try ;)

Try setting the shadows to none and i think it should work fine with the rest of the details to medium in 800*600 or even 1024*768. Also update graphics and mainboard drivers if you haven't done that already.

yeah i think emule could effect it i have latest drivers updated 2 weeks ago it runs ok on 1x multisampling no bloom on medium detail and 1024x768 but im a resolution hoar. i paid big bucks for my rig a few months back and i want it to run on full specs like every other game ive played and this game certainly doesnt look like it should tie up all my resources ill try tweakin my antricopic and antialising settings

I've posted a thread a couple of weeks ago regarding Deus Ex 2 and the performance isues. Like I sayd in that thread Deus Ex 2 is a ported game from console. Eidos didn't bother in optimizing the code for PC to much so even on high end graphics cards the fps is bad. (I tried it on a Radeon 9800 and it had problems runing it at full detail.

I run the game with a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra and even though there are no real complaints i can stil "feel" that it isnt running as good as i want it too, os as good as it should. Just another bad console conversion. I dont think you can ever get it too run max detail and res with a ti4200. Eidos claims that they have optimized the performance with the new patch but not only is it very little but somehow they managed to add a lot of compatibility issues too.

Deus Ex 2 is a really heavy game.
Close all programs and turn of bloom.

I have very similar problems: I have NVIDIDA GeForce FX 5200 (128 Mb), 512 Mb of Ram, P4 2.8 Ghz of processor, but the game is so slow i can't walk around properly. This is with all the graphics options and resolution at their lowest. WHY????
Also in an unrelated problem, the version 1.2 patch i downloaded doesnt instal because it "can't find the old file"

I too am running deus ex 2 on a 2Ghz with 512M and a geforce 5200 AGP (128), but the performance is terrible! Even with everything off and at the lowest res, it's unplayable... Really disappointing! Thing is, Max payne 2 has exactly the same requirements, and that runs great? Eidos have really screwed us all methinks...

As i said. TURN OFF BLOOM.
bloom is that thing that makes the game look grainy.
You can turn it off in the option menu...
I tunred it off and it worked a bit better. try it.

ive got deus ex for long but i never forced myself to play it. graphic is sooo laggy ! i tried everything even editing .cfg myself but nothing helped ! i play FarCry really smooth no hitches good fps but DEIW is not playable ! please help :"(
i have AtXP2500+/512DDR/GFFX5700-256MB damn it is not bad computer i think! :beigeconf
