Cant restart my PC!!

Hi.
For some unknown reason my WinXP Professional wont restart!
If i click restart it shuts down.
If i click shut down it shuts down...

(another problem is that when it shuts down the comp doesnt turns off by itself like it should be! it shows the "It is now safe to..")

Plz help!!

Well i would reinstall the OS thats for sure... try update your system and use a virus app!

Is it possible that your powersupply is faulty or not hooked up the motherboard correctly?
