Sacred 1.3 is out and needs its own crack

Sacred 1.3 is released and brings us many important bugfixes, but this time you cant use the 1.0 crack. When you try to run the crack it will check the granny.dll data first which detects your manipulated .exe

So if someone has a crack or a trick (such as rename a certain file) plz tell us.

There is no crack for 1.2, maybe its a too large challenge for the crackers.

Is there any way to repatch a game or must i reinstall sacred.......play it with CD? No way!!

copy fixed sacred.exe ver. 1.0 into gamedir

note:
you can play sacred but i didn`t know how reliable the "trick" works and the loading time of savegames takes longer than normal

Here's what I found. Using the above information I was able to get the game to start and sucessfuly load, even with the longer load time. However, I could not start a new game, ONLY load. I tried to get multiplayer to work (that's been my goal since day 1, and still no multiplayer), and there was a version conflict.

So I used ResHack to change the sacred.exe version from 1.2.0.0 to 1.3.0.8 to match the origional after the patch. This allowed the game to start, the server to start, and the versions to appear a match, but when I selected my character the start button was greyed out!! DRAT! So there's as far as I got getting 1.3.0.8 to work.

You say it works fine, but can anyone get a reliable multi-player going? I can get single going, as I said above in 1.3.0.8, but not multiplayer. Want to play over the lan with friends.

But with this way above (wanda), you can´t start an new singleplayer game and you can´t load a saved game without use the return-key while loading a saved game. An error sounds on windows and i must use the key.(so is it on my place) Then the game loads correctly. In the menu you don´t have music, also.
I wait for the right crack.

I wasn't around for the whole story, how come we got a 1.0 crack so dang fast and solid, and then for the last two patches, we have to kinda piece something together to get it to work? Would, like everyone else, like to see a 1.3 sacred.exe crack and a gameserver.exe too (if they both need to be cracked, as it appears they do from here).

Yes thats true.. ;) i think we have to wait until the big upgrade is released.it is expected to ship shortly after the uk/us versions are out.

i think the patch 1.2 works better than the newer ones (i tested ver. 1.4.xx beta too).

It would be very nice if you could upload a working fixed exe for v1.2. Perhaps it is possible to make a torrent so that we can download it using bittorrent or perhaps it is possible upload it to a ftp-site.

Another option is to send it to gamecopyworld.

Anyway, we would really be gratefull.

Crack is fake,it´s the sacred.exe from V1.0.0.0,cracked by Souldrinker (?!?).Didnt test it, but some people say,you can´t play LAN with this crack anymore.The versionnumber on the mainscreen is changed manually....Sorry for that bad news,but there is actually no working crack for sacred exept the one from Souldrinker!!!!!!!!!

Crack 1.2 doesn´t work on my machine...mmmh...both cracks have EXACTLY the same size (5931008 bytes).From my point of view it´s definately a fake.

This patch is the SAME one that has been floating around forever. It is JUST the 1.0 patch with the file version hacked to say 1.2. Other then that it also includes a base.dll wich is REALY just the 1.2 sacred.exe renamed to base.dll. I made one of these myself some time ago following directions in 1002 forums. There is NO real hack for 1.2 or 1.3 or 1.4

As for the language thing, if you want it to be in english just replace the german global.res in the /scripts/de folder with the english one from the demo. Then just open the chkfiles.txt in notepad and change:

Here is a short recipe for testing if changes made to v1.2 is inculded when using a particular crack. It usually takes around five minutes.

1. Start the game with a vampiress.

2. As soon as you can, transform it into a vampire by clicking the right mouse button somewhere in the playfield.

3. press escape and choose export.

4. Start a new game and choose import and then choose your exported vampire.

5. If, after exiting the first two room, the character transforms into a vampire automatically and does not change back after a minute, then the changes is not included and the crack you are using is completely fake. This happens with the v1.02 crack from souldrinker. If, not, then the crack is perfectly okey.

How can I know all this? Well, I read it in the readme file for v1.2.

Yep, it's still not playable. Everybody I talked to asked me, if I want to buy a horse. That's funny, but u can't play that way :)

you can get the GERMAN update from ascaron.org.An english patch hasn´t released yet.It (patch 1.5) will ship on thursday or friday....just one/two day(s) left...
