Alcohol 120% is software that is very promising. The software allows you to have virtual CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, which are needed if you want to play a game from an image, without burning it to a CD/DVD. Because the software also is able to emulate copy protections, it's very usefull to play your backups. This could already be done by DAEMON Tools, but Alcohol 120% is more advanced (and supports up to 31 devices). The developers of DEAMON Tools are also involved in the software.

Besides emulating the software is also able to burn images, it supports reading and writing to CD and DVD and support the RAW modes and subchannel data. All with all it's currently the most advanced burning software available, if you also want to make backups of protected games.

More information on the software and it's capabilities will probably be soon discovered by the users and we strongly encourage you to download the software and try it, because this could be the next big thing!

Alcohol is available in 3 different 'tastes', 52% (emulation), 68% (writing) and 120% (emulation and writing) and can be downloaded here. http://www.alcohol-software.com/?aff=2048&banner=T
