Shadows of Undrentide 1.62 no-cd patch not working

I extracted the patch into the nwn directory like the readme said and ran the NwN162_NoCD_patch.com and it doesn't work. It just comes up with a dos box saying "Bad command or file name". Does anyone know why? I'm running WinXP Pro.

Do you have 1.62 official patch installed too ?

You can always try another crack.

I installed the very latest official 1.62 beta 2 patch from the bioware site.

The no-cd patch runs in a dos box and it appears to try and execute a command that isn't supported. I was wondering if anyone else has had the problem. There doesn't appear to be, so I guess its just something in my windows installation.

This is just a thought, its not important or anything. But, maybe if someone has successfully patched their SOU 1.62 they might be kind enough to offer their cracked nwmain.exe to megagames.

I have a similar problem, has this been fixed? I have the latest patch from Bioware, and the SoU fix does not seem to work. It shows this in the MS-DOS window,

"I/O Error. The patch has NOT been applyed"

Best is to try another crack if there is one Same advice. I had to go through 3 or 4 different cracks to find one that worked. And I still didn't. So I simply ripped the CD and mounted it with DaemonTools :)

Thanks for the quick replies, I looked around for like a hour yesterday through google and all the crack sites I could find. All have that same exact crack from that guy and none of them work. I guess I will have to rip the CD, although I dunno how I will look it up when I get home.

Use Alcohol 120% is my suggestion.
