Battlefield 1942 v1.6 Crack Viewing Problem

I was able to get the patch and crack up and running, but I've run into a problem that I have yet to see an answer for: After double-clicking on the shortcut the EA Games logo appears but it's not centered. In fact, the entire opening movie, the Copyright (hehe) information, as well as the login screen (the one that has all the options listed at the top) are all off-centered. It's as though the video settings are not right, but everytime I change them to the normal resolution nothing happens. I noticed that everything worked normally though. I was able to somehow click on the start button to go to the mission description page and for some reason that page displayed just fine. It seems to only be the initial credits screens that come up all jacked up. Any clues as to what the problem could be??

Have you tried to update your graphic cards ?

Is it normal without the crack ??

Ok,

I had the same problem and me like a dummy thought it was when i updated the graphic card driver.

In fact i even uninstalled and installed which did not fix the problem until i went to gaming forum and looked under battlefield series, problems and errors.

Check that fourm cos i dont know this off the top of my head what u do is if i can remember go to the BF1942\mods and look for a videocon file or something similiar open it up with notepad and there will be a line stating something about refresh rate set it from 1 to 0.

Save the file and exit re-run the game everything should be ok but you wont have refresh rates in the video option for each graphic settings eg 800*600 20hz etc. Its cos they only use it for lcd monitors.

If you have any problems goto the gaming forum and check there !

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely start looking around that forum for some answers and I'll also try your suggestion. I actually installed it on my laptop last night to have a mini-lan party and it works perfectly on there!!! Deezam, can't wait to get this game going . . .
