Both AdAware and SpyBot are very good programs , but I am pretty sure SpyBot has a tool that allows you to lock your browser and prevent it from being changed once set .

I agree Hijack this is a great program but if you do not know what should and should not be in the log that Hijack this shows you , you can get yourself into big trouble.
