Return of the King PC prob

I have just started playing LOTR - Return of the King and I cant use my Gravis Gamepad pro even though I can change to it in the options menu
how do you use the gamepad?

Also I have noticed that gandalf runs continuosly even when Im not touching any keys or buttons, is this normal?

What do you think is the best controls to play this game?

One more thing, how the hell do you skip the cutscenes, its REALLY ANOYYING to watch them over and over!

mouse and keyboard (i think is the best) sounds like you need to calibrate your joypad in windows. this will sort out ur problem with gandalf running, and ur pad not working. patch the game could also help
