Ive got a game that I want to make a backup copy of.

the thing is Ive got no prob with making backups of games that dont have auidio tracks, but how do I transfer the auidio tracks to my harddrive and put them On a CDR with the data?

Also when using a Crack-backup do I just replace the same file with the crack and then copy it to cd? and the other files that come with the crack like file-id.diz , do I copy these to cd aswell?

some games I made backups for using the backup crack have not worked or wrong cd probs.

please help!

Firstly any cd copying software, nero, alcohol etc will copy your cd easily, just use them to make an image of the cd and then write it back. Some games use protections like safedisk which cause read errors when copying a cd, there are several guides regarding settings etc if this should be the case (some in these forums if I remember correctly).
As for puting cracks onto cd this I assume you wish to make a backup of your cd with the crack already installed. This is where it gets far more difficult. As I said above some cds use pretection systems, so you are unlikely to be able to rip the contents of the cd to the hard drive, patch it and write the cd again. Can be done but it is a messy process , especially if you have audio tracks on the cd. I know that isobuster allows you to extract individual files and dirs from a cd image but not sure if it allows inserting folders etc to an image (will give it a go and see if I get a result).
Final note regarding patches .diz files are the distribution information file. .nfo are generally the main information file and patching instructions are usually found in these files. Most of the time you just have to replace the original .exe with the patch one, however some patches require you to replace other data files as well, if you can get the patch onto a cd then I would suggest that you create a seperate folder on the cd and put the patch files in there, that is of course if you can actually put patches into cd image files (as I stated earlier will check up on the ways of doing this and report back later.

MagicISO allows you to add stuff to image files and is a really usefull proggy.

Ive got nero, I know how to make a backup of a game that does not have auido tracks.
How do I get the auido tracks to my hardrive, then put them on cd with the game data.
basicly I want an exact copy of my original auidio tracks and all. I cant make a duplicate because of copy protection, I need to put the crack on the game.

Once there, click the read options tab and make sure 'continue copying' is checked and also make sure that force raw reading is enabled for both both data modes. Use the drop down menu and choose write uncorrected for both of them as well. Then click the copy options tab and uncheck on the fly. Try burning that way. Works all the time. For me anyway.
Rip and burn at the lowest speed possible.
