Yo folks
I'm searching for a Emulator with that I can play Win98 or Win95 Games on Win2000. Especialy it sould support Silver (by Infogrames), it's the first game I bought ever and I still love it but it don't works under Windows 2000 or XP. I'm realy pissed off about that :redcry: so I would be very gratefull if someone could help me out.

You don't need an "emulator" for this.
You need to use Windows 2K/XP' compatiblity mode.
Right click on the exe, choose the compatibility tab, and enable it to run under Windows 98

Wait a sec - seems like it's not that easy...
Simply right klick ? There isn't any compatibility mode. Shure I use the german version but my english isn't that bad that I wouldn't find the right option. Might it be that I first have to install a service pack for win2000 or do I have to activate any Setting in the System Config ???

If you are using Windows 2000, IIRC, you need at least service pack 3 installed. It's very easy once you do this.

Copy and paste this command into your Start - Run box and press enter.
regsvr32 c:\winnt\apppatch\slayerui.dll
You will then be able to select Compatibility Mode from any desktop shortcut.

I did - there was an reaction: "DllRegisterServer in c:\winnt\apppatch\slayerui.dll succeeded" - but still there isn't any Compatibility Mode
when I right click on the Silver.exe.
And I also got the Service Pack 3 for Win2000 and there isn't anything helpfull, too.
You can call me everything but blind - there isn't any ++++ing (sorry) Compatibility Mode !!!
(Beside this I'm realy glad you want to help me - thank you)

Personally I would have suggested you get Service Pack 4, after all that is the latest.

Because I never use the compatibility feature, and because you should explore yourself. It's the best way to learn :p
