ok i have always wondered this (well for about a year anyway),

lets just say i was a naughty boy and downloaded a game, or copyed one ....... now i installed it, but i cant play it without putting in a no/cd crack right ...... right.

so what would happen if lets say i then downloaded a demo vertion of the same game, then took out only the .exe file from the demo and placed it into the full games install directory,

thus using the demo's .exe as a no/cd crack could this possibly work,

can you imagine if it acctually did work, it would be kinda funny cos' the game company's would just be shooting themself's in the foot

heck i dunno maybe thats exactlly where the no/cd cracks come from.

why would they use the demo exe instead of a crack ?

when making a crack, you modifies the original exe from the full game

demo exe file is modified to know and control the demo game (a shorter smaller version) - the real exe file is full version sized...

well anyways i doubt it highly if you will ever find a game that works under your theory... anyhows just go support the developers and buy full version games - dont be naughty

Then demo exe is different than the original or cracked one.

Its like trying to shove a Square throug a dimond shape slot...they look somewhat the same but they aren't...btw as you might know .exe files of a different versions than of the game dont work (for example : 1.01 exe with a 1.03 patched game) and in retrospect the exe that comes with the demo is diffrent from the full version.
