Hidden & Dangerous 1 deluxe display problem

Hi.
I donwloaded the hidden & dangerous 1 deluxe (the one that is now free).
after i installed it i launched it and the first screen it shows me is s"elect profile". BUT, there are no profiles, there are no buttons at all but the quit button. (i cant do anything and even when i click the quit button the yes or no is not displayed...)

I tried configurating the display options but nothing helped so far...
Any ideas?

OK.
I tried it and when i typed in my name a red box appeared but nothing in it.
And onece i got in thew game most of the text is gone. (not all of it).
Also the menu text like start and options are sometimes appear and somtimes not... very wierd...

What can i do???

What are your system spec's?

try and update to latest game patch !

There are no patches for this version.
It sounds like the craphic card is not up to it so maybe new drivers are needed.

My system specs:
Pentuim 4 2.4 running WinXP Pro,
Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti4800 SE.

I read on the internet another thread by some1 who had the same problem and he had Geforce4 Ti4200...
Maybe for some reason Gforce 4 ti's doesnt work with this game correctly... argh!

Have you run the hardware configuration proggy from the games start menue?

I opened a configuration program where i can choose resulouton and all and i did.
A tried to change them a few times but it didnt work.

Nevermind.
I'll buy Hidden and Dangerous 2 or i'll just leave it...

I have a GeForce 4 4200TI AGP8x card and had the same issue.
I did some research and found the Nvidia 45.23 driver from the Windows XP/2000 Driver Archive link, seems to work. I could read the menu after installing it.

I did not try the 45.33 driver.

Anything above this driver version (like 52.16) seems to cause the issue, but I'm not sure why.

Hi m8,

I had same prob with this game, go to start menu, find the hidden and dangerous item and run the version with safe mode in it, It works for me :P

i had a problem the same. i had to set it to always run in safe mode - that was the only way i could get it to run

The fdamn things buggy as hell anyway, and I hope you didn't fetch it thru a download accelerator, if you did, expect lots of CTD.

Type in your name, select a level, and then hit create profile.

I don't have it any more, but the interface is a little misleading at the start.
