My friend has a d-link Di-624 router. And i installed XP on his computer for him and the d-link is supposed to work with windows Xp but....it doesnt i dont know how many times i went through troubleshooting and re-installing. (i followed the directions as far as i could) but the computor says "Will not Function (Code 10)" Does anyone have an idea of what i should do? (besides change OS)

how come ur installing a router on windows xp?? a router does not need to be installed on windows (drivers) cause it is just something on the network which the pc can't see. not unless ur installing a wireless card as well. then you would need to install it. i know with wireless cards u need to install the drivers first (i have no idea y) and then install the card. but i also know with wireless cards the drivers are not signatured by XP but don't worry about that just say yes. also get the lastest drivers from www.dlink.com

yhea for some reason it wont let us update it is weird plus you kinda need the internet in the first place to update cause during the update instalation you have to connect to microsoft.com
