I Have a fairly complex problem, I have two computers networked, sharing an NTL ethernet broadband conection using a four port router and I want to connect another one. When Iconnect the cables i get LEDs confirming the cables work but i cannot obtain an ip address when i use the internet connection wizzard on the disk provided by NTL nor can i acces the other computers on the network.

Help!!

Make sure you have all the correct protocols setup for both computers, i:e TCP/IP, NetBeui, etc........

Can you program the Router, if so why don't you give the Router your own IP Address that NTL supplied you then just sub-net that IP address for your 2 other computers :)

firstly make sure that all 3 computers are on the same "workgroup" some times winblows likes to set this to "mshome". Second if you know the local ip address of your router, (should be 192.168.0.1. or 10.0.0.1) then try configuring your computers manually. If you need any help in doing this please post specs regarding OS etc.
