I have a p4 2.60C cpu (HT) and the intel d875pbz board.
i have a ati powered radeon 9600 with 128mb @ 400mhz internal DAC.\
i am using a LCD monitor through DVI
the problem is, whenever a play a game at less than 1024 768, the screen goes black randomly. but i can still control the computer. if i return to windows and back, i can see the screen again, but suddenly blacks out some time later. if i switch off my monitor and switch it back on, i can see the screen again, but later, it blacks out again!
does anyone here have similar problems?
ps, if i play a game @ windowed mode, everything is ok, but not all games offer this mode.
any thoughts? i think my card doesn't like to handle res below 1024 768 @ full screen through DVI. or perhaps windows background processes are the culprits. (have downloaded all drivers, patches for games.)
