I have just bought Halo for the PC, and when i try to play it online, it tells me that the CD-Key is invalid!! This is a brand new game, except the case was open in the shop, so i presume someone has taken the CD-Key for themselves, I didnt think this was possible becuase surely the Halo people will just shut that user down! Is there any way i can inform the Halo people about this Cd-Key problem so they can let me use that CD-Key and shut the person who stole it down?
Any help would be fantastic, cheers

Take the game back and get a new one that hasn't been opened.

There is no other option. Tell them you're missing the online cd-key.:)

you could contact game company and tell them your key is used

One thing i hate is the CD-keys on the back on the box... that way anyone can just look at the back and steal the key without even buying that and then the nice guy gets screwd...

yeah i hear ya, but what can we do. I will try and contact the game company and see if they can do anything. The shop i bought it from un-package all their games to take out the discs in order to stop them getting stolen-but they are too stupid to realise that now everyone is stealing the CD Keys!!!

I aint seen any cd keys on the back on the box for ages. All the games I've seen have had the cd key stuck to the inside of the dvd type case or on the back of the manual.
Should try to buy from somewhere that just keeps the plastic game case on the shelf ,then gives you a new one from out back or puts the disc and manual in the case when you buy.
