Problem with regedit!!

everytime i try to enter to regedit it , after entering for like 4 secs it suddenly exits by itself, is there anything i can do to fix it !!

might be a virus or spyware. try spybot search and destroy.

I think if you on a shared comp the admin can block the registry right?
It is also possible you have a virus or a spyware as mothman said search with spybot...

if you can find someone with the same windows as u. you could ask them to send you the regedit file. bit of a long shot but worth a go. you can run a virus scan on www.norton.com for free

Yes i am on a network , if there is any virus what could it be other than the welchia cause i already scanned for it !

Do you have Win XP/Office ?

Have you tryied in safe mode ?
Some worms/trojan makes regedit backup file and then ad themselfs
to new regedit.exe file, now every time you startup pc, scam is loaded too:
Start in safe mode, check windows dir if there is more *regedit.*
files, name one of those regedit.exe (replace), start PC, try regedit.
Ofcourse there is possibility that it goes worst ( check dates of files),
make backup files before trying :)

Try different spy/trojan/ad-ware/virus programs.
Try restoring windows ( if you have make any backup points ).

are you running as a "Admin" (adminidtrator)
if not you might dont have perminision to open regedit...
