Magic V help

Hi Guys/Gals

Over the holidays I installed a Magic V chip to my version 5/6 PS2.
It played one of my backup games and all the original PS2 games.
It no longer played DVD-r Movies or any PS1 games (original and backup).

Anyone know why? After I removed the chip the PS2 went back to normal.

I think you have to hold the eject button for 3 seconds to play PSone games and DVD movies with the Magic V chip.
