dvd screen ratio...

when i play dvd movies that are 16:9 or letterboxed my ps2 does not show the top and bottom black parts, it just stretches the image. but wen i play the movies on my dvd player it displays the movie properly. is there a setting in the ps2 to stop this from happening? plz help

when the dvd starts , press select and its in one of the options there.

when the dvd starts , press select and its in one of the options there.Right, I think when you press select, you get these options and the option you wanna choose is screen options or display, it's one of those. That should settle the problem.:)
