Civ Iii Ptw - Jgl.dll Error

When trying to start a new game I receive the following error.

I recieve this message when I try to begin a game. I get all the way to the "START" screen.

Original, right out of the box.

Strange... well here we go for the standard solutions:

1) Try updating the drivers of your graphic card
2) Install a patch
3) Check the online help to see if a similar problem already occured
4) Try the game on another computer

5) Let us know if this worked :)

Sorry, I should have told you. Updated the drivers (I think), installed the patch, have been checking every online help site and nothing. Don't have another computer to try it on.

I have a Voodoo 3000 Video card. Running AMD 400, win98. What is the correct driver?

Try closing all other programs before you start the game.

Update your vodoo card drivers and get latest Directx - www.microsoft.com/directx (http://www.microsoft.com/directx).

Updated my drivers, have Directx 9.0 and have started PTW w/ no other program open execpt Explorer open. Still same error. Have contacted atarisupport and am holding my breath for 5 days. They were closed today b/c of weather, but I will try again tomorrow to call.

Finally got through to Atari. My Voodoo 3 video card does not support DirectX 8.1 or higher. And since Voodoo is OOB, Time to upgrade.
