The Sims woes

I have Windows XP and i tried to play The Sims and my computer keeps freezing. I am trying to figure out what the problem may be. I can play for a couple minutes and then the screen and the keyboard freeze. Can anyone reccommend a remedy. I have tired ending background programs and uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Any reccomendations.

Try new drivers for your graphics card - should help

Now that's wierd. I have windows xp and have the original sims installed and it works fine for me. Just make sure you have the latest drivers.
