TV Capture card - Need advice

I have bought a Chronos Video Shuttle 2 TV Capture card. It works fine but I am battling with setting the right resolution for my DVD Player which plays the recorded file through my TV. I live in South Africa so our system is PAL.

Can you give me some advice or maybe a cool site or so???
