Hey Guys,
I just got a dvd Burner. So, I have a few of my favorite dvd Movies that I would like to make back up copys of so that nothing happens to them. So what I was wondering is if you guys could please tell me what the best program is for making an EXACT copy of a dvd. Also, do I use dvd R- or dvd r+ to make a exact copy so that any dvd player can read it?

Hope to hear back soon. Thanks.

as far as which format to use it all depends on your player. And burning the movie there are several ways to do it. I like dvd copy and dvd copy express. dvd copy will burn the whole dvd with no compression and also burns the menu and all of the special features. Most dvd's will take 2 discs. copy express burns just the movie and nothing else. it puts it on one disc. If the movie is under 2 hours there isnt any compression. you can also rip the dvd and take out what you dont want(credits, special features, menu, etc) ripping is a little more work. you have to convert file formats. Its not too hard but dvd copy and express work for me. I wont watch special features unless they are really good. Go to dvdrhelp.com and they will tell you everything you need to know.
