I'm a newbie (duh) and I think I've read enough to be able to attempt to copy games, but can I just copy my games and play them on the PS2? Or do I have to have a mod-chip? I think I have a version 3 PS2, but I'll have to check for certain when I get home.
If someone could point me in the right direction or a link that would be awesome!!
Thanks

You will need a mod-chip to play your backup ps2 games no matter what the version of your ps2. for more info visit www.modchip.com (http://www.modchip.com), or www.precisionmods.com (http://www.precisionmods.com).

^^^^Thanks^^^^
Any suggestions on which one? I'm a little hesitant opening my box up and I was wondering of the Slide Card wand the Swap Magic Disc v3 would be OK to use???
Thanks again

My suggestion is to go with the duo module for your version 3 ps2. It goes for $25. If your hestitent about opening up your ps2 then get it installed by them for $60.

Well, I can't tell what version I have. I guess it's either a version 1, 2, 3, or 4. The model number is SCPH-30001. There are no screws in the expansion bay cover, and there are 10 screw holes on the bottom of it. It also has a an electrical caution sticker on the bottom of it.
Is the duo module still the way to go?
