Playstation 3?

What do you guys think of Playstation 3? I heard that this console will always be connected online and so on.

i think that the console from what i heard and read is that it will be coming out in 2005 when in 2005 i don't know

2005!!! that was a bit of a supprise I was about to replace my PS2 but I think i'll just hang on now.

Has anyone else heard this?

I heard from my uncle that yeah in order for the ps3 to function, it needs to be connected online, because every time you played a game, it will look for the person that is playing the same game and gathers information from that console to make the game process faster instead of putting so much memories into one console.
