Shenmue

I need an emulator for Dreamcast! I tried many, but it seems that none of these works! I need it only for Shenmue! Does anyone know of some that can truly emulate Shenmue? Only Shenmue, nothing else...

Do you have the game on cd, your harddisk or on an original dc game disc, because the original dreamcast game cds won't work in a dvd or cd drive.

Maybe he never tried to actually use them before he suggested it was impossible. :eyes:

If you want to play Dreamcast games I recommend getting hte real thing while they're still in circulation. You can get one at GameStop for $20 or so. Anyway, the Dreamcast is awesome because you can mod it and even run emulators on it as well.

I was told many times that dreamcast original disks would not work in dvd/cd rom drives. That's what makes dc games so hard to copy. They're not cds or dvds. They're a completely different format. Sorry if I'm mistaken

They won't work at all ,dreamcast games are GD-Roms.You can only read about the first 10mb or so of them ,some dc games had wallpapers and stuff on them in that section.If Koha is reading the whole disc in he's drive then they aint originals.Secondly there is no dreamcast emulator released that will play comercial games.

So Koha is taking you on a ride ,your search is pointless.

I wasn't talking about the originals, backups. Which is a good thing too do with the originals.

i did'nt mean backups I meant this ,Koha said he uses originals on the pc ,then xander said are you serious ,as he was always told they would not work and they won't.Backups will read fine ,still can't play em on the pc.
