How to burn PS2 games onto DVD+-r?

Hi everybody.
I have a dvd burner & my ps2 has been modchipped.

I just want to know how to burn the games & make it work.

1. Do u just do a simple dvd copy? If so, which program is best?

2. Do u create a dvd image & then use cdrwin to patch & crack
the image, then burn the image to dvd?

3. Is there anothere methods?

If it is 2 or 3, can u pls give me full details.

Just No.1. Straight 1:1 copy. I recomend record now max.

I think there is only 1 or 2? games over 4.7gig not sure though. Im going to look into it for you and let you know. Ive made maybe 30-40 backups and I havent had a problem yet. I would reccomend you use dvd-r's. I use Riteks. Most people seem to like them and from my experiance the ps2 really likes them. I have heard to stay away from dvd+r's because the ps2 likes -r's much better

does it work for ps2 games as well? Isn't it for shrinking dvd video?

ps: MGS2-Substance is what I wanted to burn.

No it's not for shrinking, it's just used for getting rid of the copy protection on movies, but works excellent for ps2 games, just create an iso then write iso when complete, that simple! Never burnt a coaster with it yet!

but for games that is bigger than 4.7 gig, the iso file for that game would be too big to fit on the dvd-r. is there any way to shrink ps2 game.

Personally I don't know how to do it, but i've heard about rip kits on the internet somewhere, try a search see what you come up with.

As Moorsey said there should be rip kits about.But i would'nt worry too much about a ps2 game being bigger than 4.37GB , like Ace listed theres only like 2 or 3 games that are bigger.
