Two things , first you need to use dvd decyrpter to copy the dvd to your hdd ( http://www.dvddecrypter.com ). Then if the original is bigger than 4.37GB you need to shrink it down to size.

I got a tip for ya khkm. U know when U put ure DVD into the DVD drive yeah, play it first with powerdvd or any other dvd player program.
Get a DVD ripping program like CladDVD and while the movie is still playing in powerdvd, open up cladDVD and tell it to start ripping then close powerdvd. It should then copy the VOB files on your DVD to the hard drive with no problems.
This is the easiest method mate, as U only need 2 play ure dvd and rip. This way. the macrovision thinks ure playing the DVD when ure really ripping it without it knowing about it! Ingenious!

Why do that when dvd decrypter removes the macrovison when it rips the files to your hard drive. This way you dont need to play the dvd.

I recommend this, which is what I do:
1) DVD Decyrpter (If there's copyright protection)
2) DVD Shrink (Use this to shrink the DVD if its bigger than 4.7Gb + If there's no copyright protection then skip using DVD Decyrpter.)
3) Nero Express 6 (To finally burn the DVD files.)

you could also try using
1 dvd dycrypter [ to hard drive]
2 clonedvd [ to compress and burn]
thats all you will need good luck

Thats the same set up i use Vyrus... most of the time you just have to take it through shrink then burn it with nero... its so easy even a newbie could figure out how to make it work.. Also make shure your firmware is updated for your burner so your not making coasters...

Shrink decrypts by itself. No need for dvd decrypter.

DVD Shrink is not meant to be as reliable at decrypting the dvd. Most recommend using dvd decrypter to rip to your hdd, then use dvd shrink to compress.

Hi guys, Im a new member. Im trying to rip a DVD from a region 2 Disk and encode it to region 1 so it will play in US DVD players. I used DVD decrypter to make an ISO and then DVD shrink so encode, and burned it with drcrypter again, and I made sure I changed the region to 1. Every time I do this it comes out black and white on the TV..which is weird. I heard it was something to do with european/US refresh rates being different. Anyone know how to fix/get round this?

Reason that is, is because in Europe the TV format is PAL in the US its NTSC which is basically PAL = 50Hz, NTSC = 60Hz. Getting around this can be tricky as DVD Shrink should have automatically converted it from PAL to NTSC.
It may have done this because you used DVD Decrypter beforehand. Try burning the DVD with DVD Shrink next time, and change the region to Region 0 (Region Free). I can't guarentee this will work, so try it at your own risk.
Edit: The newest version(s) of DVD Shrink can remove the disc protection so there's actually no need to use DVD Decrypter.
