Generals and Generals ZH Help!

Ive completely loaded up the disks and patches C&C Generals to 1.7 and C&C Generals to v1.2. Now the only problem is i cant access the multiplayer part with any of the no-cd patches. All i get when i put the exe in and load it is could not connect to generals online. My internet is working so whats the deal? Can someone give me the right no-cd patch for generals and general ZH? Because it does the same thing with both games..

Yes i have a perfectly good online cd-key

I can get into generals online, however whenever i try to quickplay it just says 'found x amount of matches.....' and hangs there then says lost connection to generals online, in both Zero Hour and Non expansion.

I have applied 1.6 exe with 1.7 dat and 1.1 exe with 1.2 dat, respectively.

The game starts fine with no cd and am seemingly able to play skirmish and single player games without problems. Only prob is playing quickmatch i think at this point.
