simple question's...
do aliens exist? - is it possible for them to exist?
answered by other simple question's
do humans exist? - is it possible for us to exist?
in other words yes :)

Of course they exist! Look at Bill Gates, now do you think he has human parents? I think not.
No loving human parent would let their child run around for 40 yrs with hair like that.

This has been asked before, and I'd say yes. To think we weak minded humans are the only ones to exist here is selfish, and doesn't make much sense.

i dont think that every star out there has planets around it, only some of them do, but i did hear recently about some star where theyve found a planet which has almost exactly the same make up as Jupiter, so it could be possible that there is a planet similer to earth out there.

Infin8ejst
10-12-2002, 01:49 AM
Here's the thing, no matter how high the odds, all things are possible. Say it's a trillion to one that there is life on another planet in another star system. That would mean that out of a trillion chances you would find life one time. Space in infinate. There are an infinate number of stars with an infinate number of planets circling those stars. At the aformentioned trillion to one odds we would get one allien life form for every trillion stars. A trillion goes into infinaty an infinate number of times. Therefor there are an infinate number of alien life forms. Even if our original hypothosis of a trillion to one odds is wrong we still end up with an infinate number of life forms because all numbers, no matter how big, would give the same result. Infinity, devided by any number still equals infinity.
This is not the strange part. The strange part is, that no matter how astronomical the odds of alien life forms looking like humans, evolving along the same lines as us, developing the same technologies, inventing the internet, no matter how high these odds, the universe has an infinate amount of chances to do it.
Which means right now, aliens on another planet, that look just like us, are posting to a forum that looks just like this one and discussing wheather or not there is alien life on other planets.
And their names are the same as ours.

if out of all the stars in our galaxy only 1 in a million had planets around them, and out of those only 1 in a million had planets capable of supporting life, and out of those only 1 in a million did have life forms, and out of those only 1 in a million had intelligent life forms then there would be thousands of civilizations out there. i saw that in a movie, i think it was contact but the numbers are about right

Personally, the reason I would say it's foolish to believe otherwise, is because the universe is enormous, and the chances that there is not extraterrestrial life out there, is absurd, and selfish.
Just my two cents.

I so believe in aliens that would be stupid to believe that we are the only life in this vast universe. As a matter of fact I believe there is proof given by the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Mayans. All three cultures have very similar stories about the same thing. Also I tend to believe that aliens live among us. I mean think about it. If they have the technology to get here they have the technology to "blend" in human society.

That is very interesting. Unless NASA has figured out a way to bend the laws of physics it seems impossible. Anything that travels the speed of light becomes infinite. But if they do figure it out that would be so neat. I would love to travel in space. Also unless we could map the universe we would get so lost once we got out of our solar system. I mean think about how difficult it would have to be to make a 3D map of the universe. I would hate to program that monster. The map would have to be in 3D there could be no other way.
evangelion4
10-04-2003, 08:06 AM
Sure they're aliens :)
NASA researching on a gigantic ship to travel close to the speed of light?
never heard of that..
Well it is physically impossible for matter to travel at the speed of light..
When traveling faster your mass will incress and anyone thinking that "humans" will be able to move anywhere remotely close to the speed of light and survive is fooling themself.
The mass of an object traveling at the speed of light will incress thousands of times so humans traveling close to the speed of light would be humanly impossible.

I believe in aliens.
they may be like 50000 years ahead of us or 50000 years behind us in evolution.
If they are way behind us they won't be able to contact us right.
Assuming they are far ahead of us, with hyper advanced technology and in our galaxy why haven't they tried to contact us?
well if they are far ahead of us they wouldn't be interrested in us.
The situation would be something like this:
if they tried to explain something hyperadvanced for us we wouldn't unsderstand it.
example:
You don't bother trying to explain how the car works to an ant, because you know it wouldn't understand it anyway.
it could be that advanced for us.
Or they would want to keep them selves away from us because they see how violent we are, killing each other in all those wars we have had.
And if they are hostile they would just blow us up, boom! like that end of story.
(this is what I believe, you may disagree but please don't make a debate)
Puppet Master
01-14-2004, 02:01 PM
Nice statement there Zeanox:)
that's rubbish - as Steve Hawkings himself says: We haven't had contact with aliens because once another species can reach a point in time and technology when they can travel such far distances, we blow ourselves up. We won't visit distant peoples, and they won't visit us, because either we will have depleted all of earth's natural resources or we will have blown ourselves up. It's just too true. I believe that there are many people just like us in distant places in the universe, but we will definitely not meet them like i said above. As to Zeanox's response, ANYONE would be interested in visiting another planet, let alone if its behind us or not. Wouldn't you think?

We are too far away from the galactic center to know what's going on there.
We are located on the very tip of one of our Milky Way's spiral arms. If we are looking for other life it's not likely to be here, we're it in this 'hood.
However, the rest of the galaxy could be teaming with civilization's that aren't separated by scores of lightyears, and voids of nothingness.
It's akin to figuring out if there's life on Broadway from what your eyes can see from a porch out in Peoria.

I actually think we aren't alone. There are peoples just like us somewhere else, but maybe experiencing a higher/lower time period than us. Honestly, humanity has never seen another race as intelligent as our own because before such an intelligent race gets the power and ability to go into such deep space travel, we would have all blown ourselves up before we could do it - and it will happen to our race. And it will happen to the next race that is identical to us.
This is my theory, but then later found out that Steven Hawking has the same idea. I think I will stick with it ;)

The SOHO sattelite has picked up some very interesting images.
www.enterprisemission.com/soho.htm , the sun chariot has garnered it's share of kooks.
I for one think it is none other than the USAF LRV having it's proton cannon imaged for telemetry data. It's not like the govt is going to admit what it has.
We have encountered another race similar to ours.
The Sumerians called them the Annunaki.
They were known by the Babylonians as the Oannes.
They were known by the Hebrews as the Elochim or Nefilim.
Annunaki and Nefilim both mean the same thing: those who descended from heaven to earth
By all measure these beings were not to be messed with, and they screwed up a great deal of our prehistory to boot.
If you saw one of these Nefilim you couldn't even tell the difference.
We look like they do, because they created us in their image..

Yes, there could very well be physical type entities that are similar to ourselves who live eleswhere in our vast universe. As for "the greys", even if they don't exist, they are an example of what an advanced species may look like, with their large brain and advanced eyesight. They also may have more celestial (spiritual, esp etc.) abilities than what humans can do. Humans are almost but not quite out of the primate stage.

well mAybe the reason we havent seen them yet is because a) there technology i so superior to ours that we just cant pick them up on any form of scans or satelitles
they could be sitting down there playing games like me on their 20terahertz cpu's
running a game of doom 89 4d
b) the other possibility i think is that they are to small and insignificant to be registered by the satellites like if they were bacteria or something or maybe they are to big for us to notice them like maybe like the size of earth hehehhehe
*i think i need to go back to bed *smack smack smack*

How about the Reptoids?
I love that plausability.
what I mean is,
For over 220 million years the sauropods ruled this planet.
There were dinosaurs that could fit in a matchbox,
others were as tall as 40 story buildings.
Mammals have ruled this planet for only 65 million years.
The last 250,000 years has seen the rise of man.
Could not have a type of reptile gained idenity and heuristic thought?
If so could they have enabled a remainder to escape?
It's along those lines. They got web sites attributing our
sudden technical abilities and subsequent global warming
side effects to the reptoid's conspiracy to revert our
atmosphere back to the way it was.
I don't really buy their take, but the concept of a
bipedal sentient lizard isn't out of the question given
the time scales involved.
I noticed that 'demons' are given reptillian features.
Now is it due to artistic contrast vis a vis feathery angels?
Or is it rather primal flashbacks/memories of
those who wish to destroy us?
it's anybody's guess

oh yeah, we're not alone. how big is our solar system compared to the giant picture? we're like a grain of sand. we're the only lifeforms out there? yeah right. i bet there's plenty more out there somewhere. i wouldn't be surprised if some look and sound just like us. thinking the same thing, "i wonder if there's others out there?" that whole grey aliens thing is a movie type thing. you never know, there might be some that look like that, whos knows?

Space is endless, so there has to be something.

well here we go. there is a theory at the moment called the m theory. it is believed that when you look at our universe from out side the universe it is like a long blanket. there are countless other blankets near ours. they believe the big bang started when two blankets crashed into each other causing the huge reaction which started our universe. now all these blankets could just add up to being the size of a bacteria on the body of another being. how do we know that the atoms we can see through our microscope are not just the beginnings of other universes. as for aliens they dont exist in silly triangular headed weirdos but there absolutely must be more types of life in all these universes.

Well biagrin you came pretty close to the meat of it.
Everything in this dimensional reality is but a shadow image of the actual 4-D REAL.
Magnetics, electricity, heat, light, gravity: these are all the same thing in 4-D reality.
It is the distortions of our 3D space that causes the 4D energy to fracture into
slightly differing wave forms.
Quantum unified theory has much to support this view,
but as with anything of this nature
it's speculation albeit highly educated speculation
